Formlabs User Summit 2019
Formlabs leads the 3D printing industry by bringing to market extraordinary print resolution, quality and design. Annually, the company hosts its User Summit to share the remarkable innovations made possible with advanced 3D printing technology. In 2019, I helped Formlabs develop its User Summit website and led its launch alongside The Digital Factory.
Top Features
Using Webflow helped Formlabs achieve short iteration cycles to get things done fast. Content Writers were in the loop during beta builds. This took the Formlabs team from concept to final product in days, not months.
Visitors stayed on the same page when purchasing their tickets. This design decision was supported and lauded for reducing cart abandonment. In the end, over US$1 million was processed and the event sold out.
When visitors provided their email, the information was sent to Salesforce through a FormAssembly POST request. This provided Formlabs with continuity in their CRM throughout all sites owned by the company.
Their needs
I was brought on as a contractor to Formlabs to help provide design and development expertise. The Formlabs marketing, development and design teams I worked alongside with each had unique requirements. This included integrations for analytics, CRM and a delivery plan to make sure the website would launch smoothly.
The result
Within days, Formlabs saw success in the launch of their new User Summit website. By the numbers, this is what it looked like:
